Quickstart
Reconstitute: Add 3.0 mL bacteriostatic water β ~ 0.67 mg/mL concentration.
Typical daily range: 300β900 mcg total (split into 3 doses with gradual titration).
Easy measuring: At 0.67 mg/mL, 1 unit = 0.01 mL β 6.67 mcg on a U-100 insulin syringe.
Storage: Lyophilized: freeze at β20 Β°C (β4 Β°F); after reconstitution, refrigerate at 2β8 Β°C (35.6β46.4 Β°F) and use within 7 days.
Notes
Practical considerations for consistency and safety. Use new sterile insulin syringes for each injection; dispose in a sharps container [9]. Rotate injection sites systematically (abdomen, thighs, upper arms) to reduce lipohypertrophy and local irritation [10]. Inject slowly and wait a few seconds before withdrawing the needle.
